Are your pipes exposed under a raised house? Yes, drip.

Otherwise, no, not tonight in Baton Rouge.

If your home is well insulated I would leave it be.

If not, you should either cover it with something or let it flow a little bit.

We just moved and renting a house. This faucet simply sticks out 2-3 inches out of the kitchen wall. It is an old school faucet attached to a flexible plastic pipe.

It will be below freezing for 3 to 4 hours. I'm not sure if this was pertaining to tonight or just a general question for the upcoming cold weather.

So a little drip...

...and it will be 25-27 and below freezing for 5+ hours. I am just trying to be safe.

I don't think I know of anyone here that drips unless it gets sub-zero for days at a time.

But we have basements so that might make a difference.

Do y'all have exposed pipes under your houses?

Already 32 in Ascension, will not get back above freezing till about 8:00, I still don't think pipes will burst unless they are fully exposed, but it will be below freezing for a lot more than 3 hours

I wrapped my sprinkler valve and put hose Bibb covers on just in case

Is this OT trashy? Does it need to be added to the list?

Thanks. So many people don't realize it's HOW LONG the temp is below freezing that's important.
