OT>>Amber Alert

This annoying message has come on 5 times during the game. Not once does a photo of the child, assailant, vehicle, or possible paths been shown.
Meanwhile, the OT has provided pics of both child and abductor, vehicle, past arrest records, news articles on the troubled couples past...all within minutes of the alert.
Just make sure you call nine hundred eleven if you see them...

When it's breaking news always head on over to the OT for in depth analysis.

I was expecting this to be the thread complaining about the amber alerts...

Agreed. At this point people are definitely ignoring it and getting pissed.

It's almost like this medium is better at communicating more static information. AMAZING.

Why does the warning say the kid is "approximately 4"? Do they not know his age?
Posted on 10/25/15 at 5:13 pm to DownSouthDave
4 feet tall
kid is 8 years old

I guess this is why they broadcast it over and over, they're targeting you frickers with lousy comprehension. Bottom line:
If a crazy chick in a black Mountaineer runs through your living room wall while you're watching the games, make sure you call nine hundred and eleven.

This has been fricking annoying as hell today. I've been watching Fox all day and they do the cut in every 20-30 minutes. That robo voice n ever says anyuthing new. Wy not have a text scroll? I flipped back to the race on NBC earlier and they had a text scroll. No problem with the audio amber alert, but why not have a human read it? That voice makes it hard to understand a few people said they were looking for a girl who was 5 when it's a boy that's four.
Not to mention two text messages on my phone.
I get the alert and it's a great thing, but the robo voice drives me.

Call off the dogs. They found the kid

glad it wasn't last night...would have been tough between the last minute political calls and the amber alerts...
glad the young one was found and safe...his life probably will never be the same again...probably much better...

I wonder how often a kid has been rescued because someone saw the alert on TV and then later recognized the kid or suspect. I don't recall hearing any stories about the alert actually saving someone. Seems they would promote that if the alerts really work.
