OT Runners. Calf Strain
What is the best way to speed up the healing of a strained calf. I pulled/strained it Saturday.

Thanks!!

Probably icing and taking a few days off. Could also be your shoes so maybe time for a new pair?

You also need to be stretching it. That probably was the root of the problem to begin with.

A day or two off and then ease back into things, stay away from hills until it is about 80%

Had a calf injury last fall that cost me 2 months. Luckily I swim and bike.

re: OT Runners. Calf Strain
I recently went to see a Physical Therapist for a calf strain. He suggested running with a very short stride for a period of time to reduce strain on my calf. Helped me get back to running sooner. Good luck
