OT parents: what would you do if your kid brought home someone of another race?

Just to be clear, "brought home" = dating, engaged, cohabiting, etc.

Like I've always said, I spent most of my life not having a son, it wouldn't be hard to go back to not having a son. The same applies if he's gay.

Rave about what a great kid they are and how much I think of them so my kid dumps them.

I would welcome them and begin to get to know them to assess how suitable I thought they were. If course my assessment would mean jack in reality because my daughters are being raised to be strong and independent women who can make their own assessments. Hopefully I will have taught them well and they will choose good partners.

That's my retirement plan. My daughter will bring home a lovable giant, preferably homeless. We will groom him in the art of football, get him into a good school, and finally cash in on his NFL career.

The latter, but a hypothetical daughter only having those choices is extremely unlikely.
