Mine refuses to sleep during the day for more than 30 min on his own. Going 5-6 hours at night between a feed. Trying to transition from rock n play to crib this week.

Need some help from the sleep pro's

noise machine, put clothes that smell like mom in the crib feed before putting down

ETA: think about rice cereal before bedtime as well

For me the sleep sac things get my two month old to sleep for 8+ hrs at night. No sleep sack, we up every 3-4 hrs.

Not 5-6 hours sleep but time between feeds. That happens once then we are back to 3-4 hours between feeds

Sleep sacks/bundling is a must. Have your wife read Healthy Sleep Habits for Babies and follow it religiously. Both my kids slept through the night at two months and now are excellent sleepers.

Our almost 12 week old sleeps almost too much during the day IMO. She'll usually take a few hour or so naps during the day. She also sleeps between 7 and 9 hours at night.

We've been blessed with a really easy to deal with baby so far, so I don't have too many tips that I can say contribute to it. Good luck to you all. Ours likes the white noise apps on the phone and her vibrating rocker (inb4inappropiateOTjoke). She also still sleeps in a bassinet next to our bed at night.

Ahh ok. At 10 weeks rice cereal isn't an option. But around 4 or 5 months it certainly helps.

Feed that lil monster every 2-3 hrs during the day, even if he/she isnt asking for it. And get it out of your room if you haven't already. As soon as we did this, our son started sleeping thru the night

My 3 month old has been on rice cereal for a month now. He's sleeping 6-8 hours during the night now. My wife followed the BabyWise method. She did this for both of ours.

Baby is already sleeping great at night. Don't complain.

Is the baby fussy during the day?

Hoping this works for us. Set up her room last week for all of us to get more sleep. 2nd day she got a respiratory virus and she couldn't shake. Now we're in a hospital getting no sleep hopefully going home today or tomorrow.

Eat, play, sleep.

Get the Babywise book. Ours was sleeping 10 hours a night after 10 weeks. We also only had him in the rock n play for 2 weeks.

Seriously, get the book and follow it

Never do this. Seriously, don't do that. Never put anything other than your baby and his/her clothes on their body in the crib. Huge suffocation hazard.

Then I would stick with the rock and play as long as possible. It's great for reflux babies. Forget the crib all together.

If you know for sure baby is fed and diaper changed and tired, put baby to sleep right after bottle (and burp) and let it fuss for a little while before you give in. 1 minute will seem like an hour so literally watch the clock. Wait 5-10 minutes and see if the crying stops. If not, go in there to soothe baby and try again. You do this consistently for 3 days and you can train baby to self soothe and sleep better.
