on Facebook by alcoholic, I mean drunk(alcoholics go to meetings). Is there grounds for lawsuit? He has no money or property anyone would want but I want him to shut up.

If it's bad enough you could maybe report it to Facebook. I'm not sure what their standards are but I'm sure they put some types of limitations on what's allowed on there.
