BACONisMEATcandy is hard for CRJ900s and the Boeing 717 has an impeccable record. Which would you take in a fight between these two super giants of the BTR airport?

717. Unless you're flying F then get the one seat on the CR9

The 717 has a wider and more comfortable cabin. And you don't have to valet carry on bags like the CR9

717... AirTran used to fly them out of here and that was my favorite regional jet. CRJ900 always felt smaller and less secure. IMO

The CRJ200s are the even smaller pieces of shite. The 900s are at least a little bigger.

For the record, I only prefer the 900 because I can have a window seat and an isle seat at the same time.

However, Boeing makes a far superior plane

717 in coach, CR9 in first because of the 1-2 seating. Best regional jet is the EMB 170/175 series though. Actually feels like a mainline jet.

BTR will be seeing more mainline flights on DL and more two class regionals on UA/AA as capacity discipline continues. The product differentiation will be reduced greatly.

The 717.. err.. MD80 series is a classic plane whose roots go back to the DC9. A beautiful plane that has been a regional workhorse for a number of airlines for three decades. Long live McDonnell Douglas.

I've flown both extensively and I would say the 717. The CRJ900 is a sticky wicket.

I'm CRJ900 outbound and Boeing 717 inbound. That's about as good as you can do out of BTR.

ETA: Solid joxy

Please tell me you keep that with you, just in case a gate agent gives you a hard time.
