Tried my best to get a picture that would best show where it's at. It's where the Submaxiallary Triangle arrow is pointing...

It's not visible but when I press down on it (it's the right side) it's a knot. Hurts when I press it.

That bad? It's been about 2 days.

To be honest, I think I may have bruised it playing basketball. Is that possible?

It's either a lymph node or your submandibular gland that's swollen up.

Probably a swollen node. If it's not better by a week from when you first noticed it, see your PCP. If you start to develop other symptoms, specifically fever and sore throat, you should also schedule an appointment at your convenience.

I had a cyst in that same location for years that was pretty visable until I finally decided to get it cut.

My brother had a cyst in that same spot. He felt a knot that wasn't visible at first but after a few months it became visibly swollen. He ended up getting it cut out with a minor surgery.

Had something similar. Did not hurt though. Dermatologist cut it out.

You should have come to the ER tonight. You sound sicker than most of the BS I saw

Swollen lymph node. Actually playing with them can make them sore when you find them. I'm not a doc but I do have one under my chin that I obsessed over. ENT told me it was calcified and would not go away. It's still there. They only worry about them if they get really large or not smooth/roundish feeling.

First off I am not a doctor but have experience If it is a swollen lymph node. Given It has persisted for a few days I would suggest going to your family doctor as soon as you can. Lymph nodes can swell from infections and some cases indicate cancer. Not to scare you but a swollen node is nothing to ignore.

I had a soreness in that area for a while and went to the doctor. Was my lymph nodes. He then checked around my head and found where I had been stung by a wasp earlier that week. Said the the nodes can become swollen from toxins in a sting like that were being filtered out. It was neat how easily he found out the original cause. It was like some entry level House shite.

Go to a real DR. Could be swollen because your are sick, could be Non Hodgkins Lymphoma, don't count on the OT to cure you.
