After those storms yesterday, pretty sure some of us could use a vacation. About to head to lunch, but if you need help with a trip in mind I can try to be of assistance when I return.

MSY-ATL: $38 on Frontier in May, jumps to $78 or $118 in June.

MSY-ORD: $96 on American, United, Southwest now until end of June. July has deals for $128

MSY-FLL/MIA: $136 on Southwest to FLL, $152 on United or $164 on Delta to Miami.

MSY-CUN: Fun Bunch with the win on page 2. Orange air just started MSY-Cancun and apparently has $198 fares to Cancun. Leave Mon, Thurs or Sat going down, return on Sun, Wed or Fri. LINK

I cannot find these prices for Chicago, and SWA doesn't fly to ORD only MDW.

If you can get your booking through on their site. Frontier's booking system and overall customer service is astoundingly bad.

yeah, shenanigans on the Chicago flights. Not getting anything close to that on any company.
I checked all the travel sites and individual airline sites.

$235 last week of May- first week of June. Most flights are well over $300/350, but theres a few random dates that it's below $300.

I'm going to Key West in early June. Wonder if it would be a better idea to fly to Miami and rent a car from there. That's a pretty good fare. The tickets i'm looking at now are 471 so it'd probably be a good bit cheaper.

Late May Baton Rouge to Orlando is $235, actually cheaper than New Orleans

Here is a stepwise procedure (and yes I know Southwest only flies to Midway, but it's still Chicago...)

For Southwest: 1. Go to southwest dot com. 2. Click on flexible dates in center of screen. 3. In the empty boxes From and To, type in MSY and MDW. For depart, pick month you want to depart, say May, return June. 4. Click search and you can see calendar of cheap dates.

For google flights (United, American, US, Delta, Frontier, Spirit): 1. Go to google flights. 2. For roundtrip, type in MSY and ORD. 3. Click on calendar for when you want to leave. The cheap dates for the entire month will show up. Sometimes if you click on a cheap option, even cheaper dates show up on the return. For example, clicking June 9th for MSY shows up as $102, but if your return from ORD is June 10th, it drops to $97.

Based on what I'm seeing, I'd definitely fly into Miami. Even if you book the more expensive dates (Fridays,Sundays), it's only around $250. What dates specifically?

I just pulled saw a trip from 5/27 to 6/1 from MSY-ORD for $97. Probably gonna book something in that time frame. Definitely NOT shenanigans.

I've been looking at MSY-TPA and MSY-MCO, not cheap for either. MSY-MCO at $258, MSY-TPA at $242. It's actually cheaper to go BTR-MCO at $231...

I have been meaning to go to Chicago for a while now, and less than 100$ for a flight is awesome. I wonder if the return flight is cheap, too.

That $96 price is for a roundtrip ticket, not one-way
