I use a $5 walmarks wire brush thing
And spray with vegetable spray after use to prevent corrosion.

Wire brush and high heat. Right when you are done, crank it while your food rests. Then, wire brush. Thats it

quote:i have chomped down on a wire from the wire brush. lucky for me it was sideways and not up and down. The moment it happened i knew exactly what is was. one of the worst feelings thinking you almost shoved a wire through your tooth.

Our pool guy also does grill cleaning as a side business. He cleans it monthly. Not sure what he uses.

After cooking while still hot scrub it with a wire brush and put some olive oil on it. I just dab a paper towel in a bowl of olive oil. And before cooking, I rub it with olive oil, to prevent sticking, as well.

I've heard of the wires from the brush coming off and getting stuck in peoples tongues. Hard for the dentist or doctor to get out.
Having said that, I too use a wire brush.

A wadded up piece of aluminum foiI works well.
Just throw it away when you're done, and no broken wires to worry about.

Quit being a female about it. Pick one, go home and try it. It's not like it's a major investment.
