In that case. A pipeline crew came thru my place clipping there right of way. Problem is that they got off the right of way and clipped 6 pecan trees that I had planted. They said they were going to make it good, but I think they are blowing smoke up my ass.
If they got off ROW, its tresspassing unless the survey permission you granted gave them access to the entire property. Had they already bought the easement or were they doing a preliminary survey to see where the line should go? At the least, you have a claim for "damages" which translates to more money. If you have not been paid for the easement yet, you can work it in the agreement and expect more than just a $/ linear foot type figure. If the easement is already aquired, talk to one of the land agents assigned to you or your area. They are the people to deal with in a case like this; the survey crews rarely have any contact with the people with the money.
Hope that helps, I may be offbase with some of my presumptions, but that was what it sounded like.
