OT advice needed - out of state job opportunity

Hi all, longtime reader here. I noticed how some folks have gotten some interesting advice re: my topic, so I decided to join up and maybe get some feedback here.
I've been offered a job up in Lesbianapolis that pays 1-2/3 my current salary, but have never been there and know virtually nothing about the city. I've read a few online reviews that have been kinda mixed. My wife is really into the idea and thinks that it would be a great idea, but I wanted to duck in here and check just in case anyone has spent some time there to see what y'all think.
I'll miss the food, of course, and those winters aren't exactly going to be like Baton Rouge winters; other than that, though, with the salary hike and all other things being equal, should I jump on this?
Much thanks to all.

Something smells fishy about this post.

If it's Minny leave already .... Indy maybe think on it. BR isn't going anywhere and you can always go home again

I'd do it, I'm not sure if you realize this but the foot pornography that you get on the internet is not geographic specific. To put this in layman's terms, if you enjoy a certain foot pornography website in your current location and you get internet in another location then you can enjoy the EXACT SAME foot pornography from the new location. It seems a bit counter-intuitive and it gets complicated with some of the technical jargon, but trust me when you get to your new home the same old foot pornography will be waiting for you like you never left.

I know nothing about Minneapolis other than it snows a frick ton but its a pretty nice city when not in winter.
Indy on the other hand is actually not too bad. There are some really pretty areas to live to the north of the city and downtown has a solid amount of night life. It does lack a lot of culture per se, but its not too bad of a place to call home

1 minus 2, divided by 3? Just say 1/3.
Or one half, divided by 3?
Either way, you're losing money. And it sounds like

Lesbianapolis

Confusing way to say this
Do you mean a 66 percent raise? As in, if you make 100k now, you'll be making 166k?
AND you get to move out of that shite hole Baton Rouge, to Minneapolis?
