I'll be the judge of that.

End of story. He's 9. Tell him its a no go and steer him in a different direction. He will probably come up with something he likes even more that you as his parents wont have an issue with.

Parenting can be difficult but this one is easy. How do you handle the tough stuff?

Some old school costumes you can look into. They're much more creepy than a Jason costume.

I couldn't agree more, my wife told me that we're appalled at some of the things kids are dressing up as for Halloween.

Perhaps it's the devil, perhaps it's a lesser demon. But either way it is unquestionably evil.

Honestly DGAF if 9 year old wants to dress up like that. However you need to man up and tell your kid to STFU and wear something allowed in your household or you'll ship his arse off to Somalia after you beat it with a leather belt.

Christ. Let him have fun on Halloween and be Jason. It's not going to traumatize him or turn him into a murderer.

Or if you want, make him be a scary Sponge Bob.

And by the way, if you're not a parent you can save your opinion because it doesn't matter.

It only took til the 3rd sentence for you to start acting self-righteous.

I'll interject my opinion anyway.

You sound like a shitty parent, and I'm glad you're not mine.

People like you make too many assumptions about what's bad for other people. Do you have any evidence or literature to back this up from a credible source or did you just pull it out of your arse because it "makes sense".

Or just keep sheltering your kids. They already have their thoughts in their head about what interests them so it doesn't matter.

3/ Halloween has become too fricking extreme and morbid. It's not about ghosts and Frankenstein anymore. It has gone WAY too extreme with little kids exposed to things that are far too morbid for their immature brains. I went with him to the Halloween Store (a huge tent in the parking lot of the mall) and I was kind of overwhelmed by how gory and over the top it was... Seriously, is this what we want our little kids exposed to? How does exposing little kids to the concept of axe murder help those kid's minds develop normally?

My 7 year old wants to be chucky or freddy krueger or jason. Not happening here. He is too young for that.

If he's to young for that, why did you expose him to them. Those movies aren't popular anymor.e

Fake mass murder isn't as amusing as it used to be.
