I remember hearing before That John Tyler's grandchildren were still alive (the tenth president).

That's nothing. The 10th president of the US, John Tyler, born in 1790, died in 1862, president from 1841-1845, still has two living grandsons.

They are. Pres. Tyler was still slaying into his 70s..as was one of his sons.
