Well, she was wrong about the pump flows. 130k GPM total for all 3 pumps. 300k GPM on the cut.

15 billion gallons of water to lower it 4 ft.

That means 2"/day and 24 days to get it down 4 ft, with no rain.

Gonna be a long haul.

Current on Bayou Fountain appears to have stopped and may even be go backwards a little (could be wind). The Manchac gauge by Alligator appears offline now too so hard to monitor downstream. I would expect backflow to close to 13 feet followed by very slow decline with swamp as one. Hopefully no more rain.

Well, the water is about a foot over the half way mark on my 8' fence out back, and the water is usually a bit under that.

So 8' is about where it normally is. Currently at 13.07' as of 1 pm

I don't like how vulnerable it leaves us for hurricane season and even December. I guess we could file suit like Walker if it goes terribly bad.
