Born in Newark 1902 and still resides in rural Jersey.

Not the oldest in the world though. There's an Italian bird at 116, born in 1899. Which short circuits me someone is still alive from the 1800's.

You mean 19th century, because she's from the 1890's not the 1800's.

I hope not, if they were born in the 18th century, they'd be 217 years old.

Wow my great grandmother was born in 1902. Lived by herself until age 97 and had the cleanest house I have ever seen. Died the day after her 100th birthday. Incredible that this bird is still kicking.

We just killed (in 2006) an animal from 1499, so the 15th Century just wimped out.
