ROWLAND HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) —An altercation between a woman, man, and a girl selling candy outside a Rowland Heights Target has gone viral, racking up more than five million views and nearly 70,000 shares.
“I showed it to friends and family, not intending it to go viral at all and I guess people just started sharing it and sharing it,” said Andy Lizarraga, who posted the cellphone video on her Facebook last week.
She did so after walking out of the store and witnessing a woman she says was harassing a teenage girl for selling candy for $1.
“She comes up to the little kid and is like, ‘Where is your license? Have you asked permission to be here?’ And then the kid is like, ‘No, I’m just selling candy. I’m trying to make some money,’ ” Lizarraga said.
“She continued to yell at her and scream at her and tell her if she didn’t have a permit, that she was going to go to jail, that Sheriff’s were on their way,” said Jay Lopez, who walked up behind her.
Lopez said that when he walked upthe girl was in tears.
“When I walked up, she was crying hysterically,” he said.
He decided to stop the back-and-forth by offering to buy the entire lot of candy.
He ultimately purchased $80 worth of candy and handed them out to fellow shoppers passing by.

Old people can be some miserable fricks

Ain't that the truth. I had an old lady threaten to call the cops on me when I was in middle school for riding my bike on the sidewalk.

And don't get me started on that apostrophe.

Ironic since when she was the girl's age there weren't nearly as many restrictions. What a miserable bitch.

To be fair to that old trick, that looks shady af.
She doesn't need to be a bitch though.
She doesn't need to be a bitch though.

Oh, no doubt, the kid is probably selling the shite for his parents, but he's just doing what he's told. No reason for her to be a miserable bitch about it. Maybe her best course of action would be to ask the young lad if everything is alright with him.

I had a random old man driving down the street scold me for picking up a magnolia seed that fell out of The neighbors tree by my grandma's mailbox. He stopped to fuss at me about how that was the neighbors property and that I was stealing and could go to jail if he finds out. I remember thinking "you don't even live here"...

Crazy old bitch aside, why would anyone buy candy outside of a box store? The kid's setting up shop right in front of a giant place that can undersell him/her.

We tried to sell the dumbest shite when I was a kid. I remember taking all of the wood scraps after my dad had built a dog kennel and standing next to the road waving down cars in the neighborhood to see if they'd like to buy any.
We used to pick pecans from trees in the neighborhood and sell them to people still in the shell. One older lady told us to peel them and we'd probably get some buyers, so we did for about 30 minutes before we gave up, smashed them all with hammers, and sold them as "peeled" pecans in grocery bags - shell and all.
