I was supposed to be hiding the ring at my house so she wouldn't find it at their house. yea yea i know. I fricked up big time. I got really drunk last weekend and invited some people over from the bar that I didn't know. Well one of them went into my office and swiped the box (with ring in it) off my office desk.

I do not know any of these people and probably wont meet them again (Met them at City Bar downtown BR)...

What is the proper situation here? Buy a replacement? Try to buy another one as close as possible to the other one? Call the police? Offer my buddy cash replacement for it?

I'm thinking about buying a replacement online and then telling my buddy about it and offering to pay him back what he paid for it.

I have not told my buddy yet. I want to get Option 1 and then go over to my buddies and tell him face-to-face what happened.

If you don't suck, you'll pay for a replacement.

Wow, this would be a huge brawl in the making. However your buddy is a moron for trusting you with it obviously

File a police report and get your homeowners to pay for the replacement.

You must have a shitty office if you're contemplating those two cheap arse options.

Nice links. A Cracker Jack box should do it.

You have a drinking problem, and poor judgement. Not sure if they go together or not. Probably not.

Link 1 confuses me. Did the girl propose to the guy and give him a ring?

Holy shite. I'd probably just talk to him first. I mean it sucks but you were robbed . will be a lot easier if it wasn't a custom ring.
