As someone who is also against the militarization of our police forces, you are correct.

We are going to get nowhere in this discussion if the left keeps pushing false narratives, burning cities, killing more cops, while simultaneously shitting all over American Traditions.

Both sides are stupid.

These football players and their supporters have been harping for a year or more about "police brutality". There is absolutely no problem in this country with rogue police officers attacking innocent people of any color. And FBI statistics show police don't kill black people any more often than any other people of any other race. Further, those who do get killed usually tend to have long rap sheets. And finally, it's a indisputable fact that black people have interaction with police than anyone else per capita. But that's not a problem. It's a symptom of a problem.

Regardless of race, if you've been arrested and caught doing a crime 14 times and the 15 time a cop beats or shoots you, then you didn't play the odds very well. But we didn't congratulate the cops in the past cases for the few dozen times they didn't kill the repeat felons.

The problem with this current "cause" is it has absolutely no foundation in reality. The problem they're fighting against doesn't exist.

But the problems that do exist are not being addressed. Education, welfare state, absentee fathers, etc... Massive unaddressed and nonpublicized plagues on the youth of today.

As for the other side: all these dumbass conservatives and Trump himself decided to make this an issue about the troops and the flag. It's exactly what they people they're mad at are doing. They created a non-issue and then started boiling and protesting about it. It's equally stupid.

Both sides are stupid. And both sides should be criticized and shunned. What happened to the middle ground? What happened to sane normal people? Why is every single issue suddenly a complete polarization?

A six year old kid was killed in Louisiana last year by rogue cops. Didn't get any play because the 6yo was white and the cop was black, which goes to the point I made.

I didn’t say his words are unimportant. Someone was arguing that the President was spending too much time on this issue and I said the amount of time he is spending is probably being overblown.

The amount of time that PEOPLE are spending reacting to him is enormous and what I think is being confused with the Presidents time.
