If I'm late to the party on this info, please forgive and accept my apologies.

This is very interesting. It just keeps getting more weird every day.

Nope. Basically the last 50 pages is the same theories and questions over and over and over.

We can put satellite tags on great white sharks that pop off and relay all the info on the tag to a computer but we can't do the same with a 777?

Good Morning America this morning was saying the transponders were turned off like 20 minutes apart from each other which eliminates possibility of catastrophic failure in midair.

US government suspects foul play now.

It's definitely not typical and not much information regarding this incident is.

Am I just ignorant in thinking that we should have found this by now? Its a giant plane with hundreds of people on board, 100 of which were citizens of a nearby country that is a world super power.

WTF is going on? I haven't been fascinated by a story in the news like this since the Boston Bomber search...

while I would generally agree, this plane took off around 12:40... I highly doubt most of the plane was asleep just 40 minutes in.

Same here, but the Boston Bomber week was more captivating but that could change if we find that this plane landed in the Andaman Islands.

What are the chances this thing is just super deep on the ocean floor where we can't find it at the moment?

90%?

I would agree with this but I just can't fathom a 777 hitting the water and not leaving debris. There is no way it goes in the water and stays in one piece with nothing breaking off and floating near the site. I just can't wrap my head around nothing being left behind and the whole thing sinking. Especially if it was a "catastrophic" crash that registers as seismographic activity.

Just joining the party....

The Boston Bomber situation was more entertaining because there was a timeline of events that we could follow live. There hasn't been much other than theories, new leads ect...correct?

Whats the general consensus on what happened here? I tuned into the news last night and got a good glimpse of what they think happened but someone give me a summary or idea of what they think occurred.

I've think seen this type of thing before. I once lost some belts and shoes from a closet and one day, 15 years later, they reappeared in the very same spot where they went missing. And I've never been able to quite nail it down.

If this thing lands in Beijing some day...
