ive been feeling sick the past 3-4 days with the runny/stopped up nose, coughing, sneezing, and watery eyes just like every spring.

What do the OT'ers with these spring allergies do to help and relieve their symptoms?
natural or OTC remedies?

Just saw my doctor last week and he said Zyrtec is the best for a nasal allergy and Claritin is pretty much shite.

Only thing that helps me is a cortisone shot and a prednisone rx.

Zyrtec ftw. walgreens generic works just as good as the real stuff for half the cost.

Zyrtec has never worked for me. Claritin is ok. Shots are the only thing that works for me.

None of the OTC drugs really work for me, they just make the symptoms a little less annoying but they're still there

Never had allergies till I hit 40 and they have gotten progressively worse. You'll have to try the sprays and antihistamines and see which ones work for you. There is a new nasal spray called Dymista that works well for me - It's a steroid and an antihistamine. Last year I started taking Singulair too. For sinus pressure, I take pseudo ephedrine. Can't take it every day bc it makes me wired. Really ticked me off when the MS state legislature required an rX for it - Bad sinus headache kicks in over the weekend and your screwed...

Benodryl is the most potent allergy medicine, hence why it makes you tired

Zyrtec is the next best thing according to a pharmacy guy I talked to. I take the 24 hr version of it + a bynodryl at night to help me sleep and I don't have any problems with allergies

Already feeling it a bit and the ligustrums surrounding my house haven't even started blooming yet...

They turn our driveway yellow with pollen every year. FML.

thats funny because I also have ligustrums in my front yard. They seem to fog up the air with the pollen.

Nasal steroids blow antihistamines out of the water. It takes a couple of days to work, but go get some Flonase. You will be glad you did.
