Going to do 13.4 tomorrow. Not actually competing in the open as I'm only in my 2nd month of Crossfit, but I do the WODs with the group. I like the AMRAP tomorrow but today was so brutal I may still be tired tomorrow.
Honestly though, I don't understand all of the hate for Crossfit. I understand that there is risk when you do a large number of repetitions with a reasonable amount of weight, but honestly I have never felt that my physical well-being was in danger. I think especially for those who aren't extremely versed when it comes to lifting (which of course everyone on the OT has mastered), it's actually a good learning environment because there are people helping teach the proper technique and watching you as you go through the WOD.
Although I do admit I get the cult thing to a certain degree. But really this is the first time I've actually enjoyed being at a gym (box, whatever), and I've made a lot of friends in the process. Everyone encourages each other to do their best. I guess don't I see what's so wrong with that.
