In one example of workers’ comp fraud out of Fort Lauderdale, a woman picked up a sprinkler head after it had fallen on her desk, then hit herself in the head with it to stage an on-the-job injury. Her employer’s insurance company got suspicious and referred the incident to Florida’s Division of Investigative and Forensic Services.

Should be jail for fraud or just because she's dumb as hell.

Falling Sprinkle

from the crappy video it looks like sprinkler cap that fell.

they are designed to cosmetically hide the sprinkler heads and blow off in the event of a fire. It wouldn't have fallen from the ceiling with the amount of force that she used to hit her head. likely why they were suspecious....

I love how when it first falls she looks up in shock that it could possibly have hit her head. Then seconds later slams it into her head.

I find it interesting how her immediate reaction was to use it as an opportunity to file for workers comp.

If something like that happened to me, I would probably laugh, inform the appropriate people about what happened then continue on with my day. It is almost as if she was waiting for something to happen.

And you would think.. That since she works right there, she would be aware of the camera. She has some big titties.

My question is why did it take them getting suspicious to check the video? Why didn't her company just watch the video right away? I know I would, even if it was just for a laugh

it's 2017. you'd think people would be aware there is a strong possibility they are on camera at any given time.

It wouldn't have hit her in the forehead either.

That's not necessarily true. Although she should have adjusted the angle she hit herself at. But the kind of person that thinks this kind of fraud is a good idea is likely the same kind of person that wouldn't consider the angle of impact
