Obese man claims he was kicked out of hospital for ordering pizza

"He needs to be monitored, because if he's on his own...he's going to just blow up because he's uncontrollable when he's by himself cause he's lonely," Assanti’s father, Steve Veillette said to NBC 10.

I don't understand how hard it would be to put this kid in a room without a phone and let him eat only what the hospital gives him.

20 lbs in 80 days? I think he might have cheated more than once. That dude had to have still been eating like 5000 kcals a day to only lose 20 lbs in almost 3 months.

once you need an adult onsie, it's time for a diet.
As long as you stayed hydrated, wouldn't it be possible to just sedate a person of that size and let their body eat the muscle and stored fat? I ask because I have known a few large people to get real sick and drop 100 pounds quick.

That is nothing. That's 2.5% of his body fat. I'm 195 and that'd be like me losing less than 5 lbs. in 80 days.

And I'm not sure a chemically induced coma for weight loss would be acceptable medical practice in this country...not that it shouldn't be
