Went to lunch with a former member who was telling me they're trying to launch a new plan to reopen. This time it's backed by the current tennis minded owners, who are interested in bringing back golf as a private club.

My dad used to be a member in the 90's and I grew up running around over there. I'd love to see it back.

Anybody else heard any rumors?

I think that was the first plan. Now they want to bring it back private, with a $1500 initiation fee and monthly dues of $250. Only probs is that it's based on getting like 200 people to sign up.

I heard the dude who owns the course/tennis stuff also bought all that equipment those crooks were putting at the old Sports Unlimited and put it in the old 19th Hole. So membership also includes complete access to all the fitness stuff as well.

They want you to give money, which doesn't include a membership, and also tell you to not expect any returns on investment. So this whole thing sounds like

1. This is a group of old members trying to bring back the good ole days and do it using someone else's money

Or

2. A giant scheme to get the die hard folks to fork over cash all while having no intent to actually start the course back up.

It would be private memberships.

Just like the first proposal from a couple years back. Couldn't get enough members, then tried something else, now back to square one. Deja vu. Good luck

Yes. And its not going to happen...period. It is both financially unfeasible and the startup is vastly underestimated.

They should make it a large urban community vegetable garden.

A wonderful place for the at risk scholars to get hands on learning.
