Been reading a lot of non-fiction books lately. I want to get into some good adventure type novels. Books related to Into the Wild are what I'm thinking.

Read "Into Thin Air" over Christmas. Also by Jon Krakauer. Excellent book, I barely put it down for two days. Climbing Mt. Everest is a fools errand.

Non-fiction I'm reading is "They Call Me Coach" by John Wooden
Fiction I'm re-reading is "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson.
Brandon Sanderson is fricking awesome and I recommend anything he writes. Mistborn is a great starting point to see if you'd like his style of fantasy fiction. I love his characters' morality struggles and the concise system for magic/abilities he has in his writings.

Not what you want to read according to the OPERA but I'm reading "we were soldiers once...and young" (nonfiction) and also picked up LoTR. I'm on book 5 and decided to finish the series...
Also started reading Red Rabbit, but put it down to finish Return of the King.

The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanders is one of the greatest medieval fantasy series ever written if you'd like that type of stuff.

Currently reading Hollywood Traitors by Allan Ryskind about the communist/Nazi sympathizers in the 30s & 40s. Highly recommend 81 Days Below Zero about a plane crash survivor in Alaska during WWII and also Unlikely Warrior: A Jewish Soldier in Hitler's Army. Been on a non-fiction history kick lately.
