I have a buddy that is a NYPD Detective and I previously asked him about this guy. He says the guy is a legit psycho but he is politically connected and PC which makes him invulnerable to criticism. This same guy recently approved a post-Ferguson mandatory training program for every officer that cost $15 million dollars. The program shows clips from Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze telling bouncers to "be nice." Officers are refusing to sit through the classes it is so bad. The training was written by some liberal college professor with zero experience in law enforcement and has nothing to do with the subject.
Basically all the worst aspects of government bureaucracy.

Guys like that remind me of a few officers in the marine corps I had to deal with.
They have 0.0 amounts of time in the field or combat but yet have all the training answers and brilliant ideas about how things can flawlessly work.
They are usually painful full of themselves and come up with extremely terrible ideas

You'd be amazed at how prevalent it is to see people in this field at such high positions with absolutely no reason to be there.

I mean, give him a title or whatever, but don't let the guy actually do shite. It's still disgusts me that intelligent, hard working officers got passed up for this muppet, but at the very least his hands should be tied.
