The story is from England. And the protest is because there is a 'luxury sales tax' on tampons. That is pretty f'ed up IMO, not as much as seeing a free bleeder mind you.

But it is pretty ridiculous for the Brits to charge a luxury tax for feminine products. It'd be just a shitty for them to do so if it was for toilet paper or any other product used for some basic bodily functions.
