University of Georgia police met with an injured 20-year-old student at St. Mary’s Hospital on Oct. 15 after acquaintances found him laying in a pool of blood and masturbating outside their West Side apartment.

The injured person, who was reported to be under the influence, could only tell police his name and birthday. His first comment to the officer was, “I’m horny,” according to the police report.

The two men who brought the victim to the hospital told police they found him outside their apartment after he had come to visit their roommate and roommate’s boyfriend. They did not hear any commotion to think anyone assaulted the victim, according to the report.

The officer visited the West Side apartment and met with the roommate whom the victim had gone to meet that night.

He told police he connected with the victim on Grindr, a mobile application used by gay men to meet other men, and they arranged for him to come to their apartment. He said he and his boyfriend had a consensual sexual encounter with the victim, but then they started to find him odd when he started grabbing at them after being asked not to, according to the report.

The resident told police he asked the victim to leave but the victim was staggering so the resident gave the victim his clothes in a bag, told him to go sleep in his car and then shut the apartment door, according to the report.

The residents found the victim outside in a pool of blood at 4 a.m. when they went out to get McDonald’s.

The residents who spoke with police said the victim was not intoxicated when he arrived at their apartment and did not see him take any drugs or alcohol during his visit.

After speaking to the residents and observing the apartment, the officer determined, in his intoxicated state, the victim could have fallen and hurt himself.
