St. Louis Treasurer Tishaura Jones said Wednesday she's seeking to raise $25,000 toward the cost of removing the Confederate Memorial from Forest Park.
Jones set up a GoFundMe page, and donated $100, adding, "Putting my money where my mouth is." Her strategist, Richard Callow, chipped in $250, and suggested burying it. He said that could cost as little as $12,000.

Well...that's a goner. They raised $1,200 in 3 hours. They'll have $50K by tomorrow afternoon.

Funny I dont see anyone crying in ATL or Georgia where I know for a fact are thousands of civil war monuments and plaques all over the state.
At least they respect history over there.

When the crime rate becomes proportional to racial demographics, THEN we can talk about removing statues. Until then, STFU and have personal accountability within your own race.

Oh it's coming.
It's the new trend and excuse. Can't go wrong with those two hand in hand

At least the citizens are paying for it.

Sure. As long as all donations are public, process is transparent, done in a civilized manner, and voted upon.

Pretty sure the GA government laughed at them for that one.
And if they do eventually do that....then they would have to destroy mount Rushmore too.
