Any tips on what brands to buy? I bought my first one yesterday and it was a montecristo . I really enjoyed it but I can't see paying $10 everytime I want to smoke a cigar.

Arturo Fuente 8-5-8. About $7 a stick in stores and cheaper online. My go to smoke for about 20 years now.

I don't smoke them often, but I always keep my little humidor stocked with Graycliff G2s. My personal preference.

I just smoke what my father-in-law buys.

Diesels are great sticks. Very potent.

Set up a humidor and Buy online when they go on sale. There's no need to pay $10 a cigar anymore.

5 Vegas Classic best deal on the market for premium cigars. If you buy them in packs, you'll pay only about $3-$5. Punch is a close second.

Order online from cigars international. Get a variety pack with a humidor

I've been lighting some Cuban sandwiches up the last few weekends. Getting back into smoking after I took a break for a few years.

Wood tipped cherry swisher sweets ftw. You won't want to admit it to your friends or the OT but it's what you'll wish you were smoking instead of whatever brown stick is in your mouth

Really? I've always heard Swisher Sweets were garbage but I guess they just have that rep because they are cheap and common.

Good, quality brands that won't break the bank include Macanudo, Rocky Patel, and Carlos Torano.
Drew Estates makes a lot of great stuff that isn't too pricey and is great for beginners and veterans alike. A favorite of mine is Joya de Nicaragua.
All depends on your palate. Don't let others tell you what you should like. There are plenty of great cigars out there for $7 and under.

I had one on the causeway yesterday on the way to the Country Day v Newman game.
Washed it down with a few Stella.
Gonna hit the humidor today for the game later.

Cigars International or Thompson Cigars online. They constantly run specials. Get a little humidor. I got one free with a Thompson shipment a few years back that works great.
DO NOT get on their autoship program. BTW, there IS a difference in Cuban so if you ever get the chance, enjoy one. I had some in the Dominican last year that were incredible.

example of a Thompson deal.

My father in law was in Cuba last week doing a tennis clinic.
I think he's gonna be going back with some regularity. Is it legal for him to bring me something back?

We've opened up diplomatic relations with Cuba so there's a little bit more flexibility. But the embargo isn't lifted so it's still illegal.

That blows.
He did say it was really pretty down there. We need those cigars, badly.
