Are you saying political beliefs are a fireable offense?

Why specifically? He broke no laws, uttered no racist words. What is it about his opinions that you think should result in him being unemployed?
Because of a ring?

I don't think you want to take that logic to its ultimate conclusion.
A black person engaged in the BLM movement would not be able to teach in an all white school, under your logic. Wouldn't matter what that person did, "can't do job effectively" would be a catch-all firing offense.

It's the same logic as wanting that UCLA professor fired for hitting that guy in the head with a lock/sock at the trump rally.
Except this guy didn't hurt anyone and did nothing wrong.
I went to the Lee Statue takedown on Friday after work and a lady with an "End White Supremacy" sign went by along with two little kids blowing air-horns. I hope nobody got a photo of me and takes it out of context.

In his position in this day and age (and being a white man), he should have known better than to be down there even if he supported not removing the statues. This is one of those situations where you have to right to be somewhere or do something but would be better served to not put yourself in that situation.

I think the guy is a buffoon personally, but what a sad state of affairs that you can be fired for this. The tolerant sjw paintywaist crowd is tolerant...if you agree with them.

What do you reckon is a NeoNazi's motivation to obtain a job as principal of an at risk school for basically all black children in Orleans Parish?
It's a peculiar story, no doubt, that doesn't seem to be captured by the knee jerk lynch mob vs. defend him at all costs mindset we are all supposed to adopt at this point in time.

i agree with you, it is bullshite that you can be fired for personal beliefs but these are happening more and more often but it doesn't seem to go both ways. If there was a black principal at a school that went to black power rallies, posted nothing but BLM stuff and talked about killing the white man, it would be racist and bigoted to fire them. Hell, this principal might have been going down to the store to grab medicine for his sick mother, I don't know where the monuments were in relation to anything so I have no clue.

I might pay attention if he were a 'bishop' or even an 'apostle,' but a captain - nawwww.

Something tells me this guy was thinking about his retirement when he did this. I'm not much for suing people but this is one I'd definitely pursue.
