No wife and kids this afternoon, going to get on my bike starting around St. Charles and Louisiana and ride for awhile. Would like to get a drink or two and see a few sights. Where should I go?

Ride to Cooter Browns and have a good beer.

Not sure what "ride for a while" is for you, but you could ride to Bywater and grab a slice and a brew at Pizza Delicious. That would take you through the Garden District, the Warehouse District, Downtown, French Quarter, and Bywater.

If you don't want to ride that far, you could just ride to Avenue Pub on St Charles.

Mississippi River Levee. The bike path goes from Audubon Park all the way to St. Charles Parish.

Some good suggestions so far. Not sure if I want to go all the way to Bywater, but definitely could go downtown.

Has anyone been to the rooftop bar at the Ace Hotel?

I have, it was really chill when I went, but that was on a week day. I've heard it can get douchy sometimes.

Courtyard Brewery in the Lower Garden District would be nice today.

Camp is a good street to get downtown quickly. If you stay on St Charles, Avenue Pub would be a good stop. And/or cut over to Mag for Half Moon or Bridge Lounge.

Take St. Charles in to town until the bike lane ends, then jump over to the Prytania Exressway for the remainder of the ride in to town.

First stop is Courtyard Brewery. Have one or two.

Next stop is Avenue Pub. Have one or two.

Next up is Nola Brewery. Have one or two. Preference is to the brewery-only beers or sour program.

Head up a block or two and catch Annunciation. Take it to Audubon park. Have a cat nap in the shade.

Wake up and hit up Cooter Brown's for another drink or two.

Finish off with pho and kimchi fries at Ba Chi.

Have you been outside? It's murderously hot out there.

Anywhere where you can cause traffic congestion, they love that...

Nola is not a shite hole city. They have some pretty good bike lanes and people do bike a lot around here. It's not like the guy and 12 of his friends are slow rolling river road south of Baton Rouge.

Just ride on the levee. You're an idiot if you ride your bike on the street.
