Not that herpes.

And the meet isn't threatened, there is just no shipping.

I love idiots who post about things they don't understand.

They always say you have to love yourself before you can love anyone else.

The meet is not threatened. Field size will be down and stakes races will be hampered but the meet is no threatened. Know what you are talking about before making dumb statements.

I haven't looked at the card but I will a little bit later.

Usually the night racing is made up of crappy races.

I don't even think there's an allowance race tonight.

Night racing cards are always terrible

That will teach them not to invite Madonna to Jazz Fest.

There's a starter optional, an allowance optional and a straight allowance tonight.

Huh.

Better than usual.

I will be pretty pissed if Gun Runner misses the pegasus. Any idea when they are going to lift the quarantine? Road to the derby races start next weekend, I am assuming no one can ship in?

I saw a 2 horse race for the first time in my life a week ago. pretty eerie.

He will miss it.

Last night I saw that 21 horses (1/2 of barn 14) tested positive despite no symptoms. They are about to test the other qt barns too...

I think they have another one at delta tonight

Why not give the cliffs notes real scoop of what's going down there instead of berating people? The thread title was basically the headline on NO TV news last night, so it's sort of hard to blame people for their ignorance.

WOW, you went out on a limb with that pick. The guy begging for change to make a bet could of given that one, even though they won't win,

The virus is a respiratory virus with some mutations that present neurological symptoms. That can be fatal. Unfortunately this can happen any time large numbers of horses are in one place. The first horse had the bad strain and was put down. The rest have had the "wild" strain and just presented with fever. Those were isolated and their barns quarantined.

Now they are testing the quarantined barns even if no symptoms are shown. 1/2 of the first barn tested positive, but there is a percentage of the general horse population that carries the virus and never shows anything.

Fairgrounds is not in danger of losing their racing dates, but nobody can ship in or out. This also affects the field size at delta because horses can't ship in there from fg or training centers.

Field size will be reduced and they are carding fewer races.

Kentucky is dealing with this now too.
