I have not lived here very long. From what I gather, the Eastbank is basically everything between the lake and the river. I live in west riverside area of uptown. When the hell should we expect to be able to shower or do a single goddamn thing involving water? Is the Eastbank some other area I'm not understanding? TIA

Maybe the Water and Sewerage Board needs to jack up their rates even higher

You're on the Eastbank

I'm guessing this shite will probably be lifted early tomorrow, they typically last 24-48 hours (from what I've read).

The eastbank is the land on the east side of the river and the westbank the land on the west side of the river. Uptown is the eastbank.

How does one boil enough water for a bath? I would invest in one of those really big packages of baby wipes.

I wouldn't worry about the boil order ... I mean I'm not drinking the stuff (but I never do) but I'm doing everything else.

ETA: if I die - I love you guys

I thought it was just ingestion? I guess open wounds are bad with showering?

Is bourbon and the French Quarter considered the east bank? Not familiar with Nola and spending mon-wed night there

But yes, it is.

ETA: I doubt that you'll have to worry about it Monday.

I've heard of the gross shite out there. But the only thing I'm concerned about is showering in the hotel.

What about filtered water through a fridge/tap add on? Is that still considered "unsafe"?

The eastbank is all of New Orleans except for Algiers. Happy boiling.

Is this for Jefferson? I've been drinking water all day and just showered.
