Is it legal now? Was just there at the same time as the bayou classic and there were weed trucks everywhere.

No. It is decriminalized though.

Bayou Classic fans smoke weed? No way!

I was trying to be as PC as possible with that. But I'm sure there was no coincidence.

NOLA's always been a weed town, and yeah, it's basically just a fine now like a parking ticket

I've always loved NOLA, but damn it sucked today. I guess poor planning on my part.

Yeah the SO and I are going to the Saints game tomorrow and decided to go NOLA this evening to go Saenger and watch a play, staying in a nearby hotel.. Ubers and taxis taking forever because of the madness. I didn't realize how big this football game is..

That dude with the weed car got locked up before..no thc in that candy..etc

Yeah we left the saenger at 7 and said screw it and came back to LC. Still not back because of traffic in the basin bridge.

Sounds fancy, but I know the truth of what "play" is this weekend. My wife and son went to the matinee today.

It would be a lot cooler if they did.. alright alright alright
But seriously the people who already trek down to nola to screw around would love to have the ability to smoke in NOLA. Imagine the edibles.

If you're gonna buy "edibles" from a truck in a town where weed isn't legal, you deserve to get screwed over.

NOLA needs to go ahead and legalize it recreational and let small businesses open up in the Qtr like coffee shops in Amsterdam. It will be safer than a bunch of shite faced drunks getting into fights, getting robbed and driving drunk. Plus the tax revenues will be in the 10s of millions

Use weed butter in Jambalaya, Popeyes Biscuits, Smothered Chicken, red beans, etc.....

The local populace would ruin those shops real quick

I've thought about this a lot since seeing the shops in Colorado

in the quarter it could work

No it is not.
It's just not a felony and they issue summons instead of arrest.
