There are now 69 white numbers instead of 59. Odds of winning are now 269 million to 1. Powerball officials did this last year to have fewer, but bigger jackpots that get more press. They got their wish.

I would just not play and save that money and make a better investment then the 'poors tax' that all the idiots on the OT spent their hourly wage on

Ok Dave Ramsey, but the $2 I spent on a ticket is the same as buying a beer so it's not like the poors, or anyone else for that matter, are investing their life savings in the lottery

So its the poor who are supporting a $70 BILLION dollar a year industry?


The lottery winners look like an AARP advertisement .(50 plus years old / White & not necessarily 'poor' ).


The poor percentage spending on lottery to income may be high, but most tickets($$$$$l are purchased by people of modest means.

A silly myth about poor people.
