Ordered a new vizio tv and it arrived with a cracked screen and all the little green lines all over the place. Has anyone had any experience with vizio and returning a damaged tv? I put it on the credit card so if they are a pain about it, I'll have AMEX just do a charge back. But who has dealt with this?
Ordered it from Vizio.com. Not a third party

Happened to my parents. Vizio will give you the runaround and claim that you broke it.

Happened to me with a Sanyo. Brought it to the store and got a new one with the receipt.

Spend the extra money and get a Samsung or Sony. There's a reason Vizios are cheap.

Who the hell orders a tv directly from manufacturer?

Vizios are good cheap bedroom TVs where quality doesn't matter as much. Gotta step your game up for the living room, though.

I would go with a Zenith or better for the living room tv. Vizios are kind of cheap.

TVs delivered should require a signature upon receipt to verify not broken before driver leaves

Happened to me with my 42" Panasonic plasma 12 years ago. I sent it back, and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. I can't remember the website I bought it from, but the TV is still kicking.

I'm sure UPS/FedEx would go with that

Bout a 60" Vizio from Sams. Sound was fricked up on it so called vizio and they basically have someone deliver a new one and take the old one. So they do that and two weeks later my 2nd vizio gets three vertical lines in it. I call them back and they send me the unreleased new model and they deliver that one and take the old one. Third one works great but honestly frick vizio. They were much better many years ago. When I was 16 I saved up for a flatscreen and bought a 37 inch Vizio when Vizio was a brand new company. Thing is built like a tank and is now 11 years old without any issues and hours of daily use.

That's a shame. Looks like you'll be stuck with that for years to come.

Prepare to get an open box replacement.
I agree 100%, frick Vizio. Never again.

1) Call Vizio
2) Call shipping company
3) Call your CC company
A shipment of something that expensive will have insurance.

Happened to me at Walmart. Shanaynay at customer service took it back no questions asked.
Next time don't count on a delivery service to handle your nice things with care. Ask your bf to borrow his truck and go do it yourself.
