New SUV
Posted by Cdub_tiger on 11/28/14 at 8:04 pm01
Buying new SUV for my wife:
4-runner
Volvo xc90
Acura mdx
Lexus Gx
Anyone have experience with any of the models above? GX is our favorite but of course the most expensive.
Any info is appreciated.

Volvo or 4runner would be my choice out of those

Xc90s won't be out until April but will be a 2016 year model.

Isn't the Volvo wayyy overdue for a redesign?

Best out of those is the 4-Runner

Bought a new 4runner in 2011. Never had a problem

New XC90 is going to be really nice. LINK
Volvo also has collision-prevention on the xc60 and this new xc90 which is really nice. It will stop the car automatically at lower speeds. Since it's a new model year, might want to be careful about reliability issues at first.

New?
My wife has MDX. 2015 (or '14) is the updated style, and I freakin love the thing. Can't recommend it enough. Drives great, good power, very nice tech and materials. The gas mileage is vastly improved from older gen (she had a 2011), we've hit over 30 mpg on road trips. Unless you need the AWD, I'd recommend the FWD only version for the gas mileage and less maintenance.

I have a 2003 4runner. Great vehicle. No issues.

2.0 Litre T8 engine. Badass
re: New SUVPosted by guttata on 11/28/14 at 8:40 pm to Nado Jenkins83
MDX and it's not even close. It blows the doors off all those other choices.

Not on your list, but I bought Mrs T-Bro a '14 Nissan Pathfinder and she loves it.
Been impressed with it so far.
