Not being almost an hour away has it's benefits.

That list is silly, but I'd choose Metairie over Mandeville or Covington all day long.

Two things really stand out to me on this:

1) How are Covington and Mandeville ranked 31st and 19th in crime?

2) How is Mandeville ranked 22nd in commuting while Covington is 11th? Assuming the majority of people are going to I-12 or New Orleans, Mandeville should dominate Covington unless a disproportionate number of Covington residents work in Covington.

Haven't seen any criminal where I live. And I don't have to pay $3 and waste an hour every time I go to NOLA.

Mandeville and Covington gets "punished" in the rankings because it's further and more expensive (cost of living) which is ironically what so many people that move there like about it.

Boutte at #2? Westbank is the bestbank

I mean seriously, how is Mandeville/Covington/Madisonville not #1? Does this survey deduct points for snootiness?

Mandeville's unusually high unemployment rate must be including all of the doctors' wives that stay at home.
