That looks like Canal St by Harrah's?

If so, that will be a damn nightmare.

When driving off S. Carrollton/St. Charles, it appears some of the streets have been intentionally cratered to impede vehicular traffic.

Is there a revolution brewing?

The block of canal in front of Canal Place heading towards the lake has been shutdown for about a week or so now because the tunnel under harrah's is going to shite apparently.

I didn't see the hole form, but I wonder if it just did that randomly or S&WB did it intentionally to access something.

That'll take about 2 years to get repaired. And by repaired, I mean filled with dirt and gravel.

I'm guessing it'll cost somewhere in the ballpark of $750k as well.

Could only imagine the clusterfrick if that thing were to have a major structural failure.

This is what 8 months of progress looks like repairing a pothole on my parents' street in the FQ...8 months.

the road behind me is opened up for some new piping and that downpour yesterday scooped out a bunch of the dirt/sand under the surrounding remaining road and that collapsed (also in the downtown nola area)

possible that storm helped it along
