What are the boundaries of Treme?

How about Gentilly? "7th Ward"?

How far does Metairie go? Does it include "Old Jefferson" to the river? Central Ave? Shrewsbury?

Where does Elmwood start and stop? Relative to Metairie, Jefferson, Harahan?

How about Lake View? Lake Vista?

Many thanks in advance.

Everyone from Metairie is apparently from New Orleans; it's actually just a state of mind.

I bet you can use Google Maps to determine these things.

I was under the impression from the OT that the entire city was Bourbon Street

Lakeview is bounded by Robert E. Lee and 610 to the north and south, and the 17th street and Orleans Avenue canals on the west and east. Although the area between Pontchartrain Blvd and the 17th street canal is more appropriately referred to as West Lakeview.

Yep. And the city is 90% black and everyone lives in housing projects.
This is all part of a course that Uncle Earl teaches at the family Christmas parties of people that don't live down here.

And you have at least a 50% chance of being shot any time you dare set foot outside.

Old Jefferson is from River to Airline, Clearview to Causeway. Elmwood is from Clearview to Harahan. Jefferson is from Causeway to Montecello.

Gentilly is bordered by Lake Pontchartrain to the north, France Rd to the east, 610 to the south, and Bayou St John to the west.

That's because some don't see smaller areas as their own neighborhood. For example, Touro is a neighborhood that has boundaries of St Charles(north), Magazine(south), Napoleon(west), and Louisiana(east), but is often times lumped in with Uptown. This is the same for some other areas, too.

Yeah. There are some neighborhoods that people just refer to that entire general area as that hood.

Like Lakeview. Very few people distinguish Lake Vista, etc. They just call that entire 70124 area code Lakeview.
