How is that area trending? Seems like there are a few nice family-friendly neighborhoods along that stretch, but I'm not as familiar with that side of town.

They are very nice for families. They are also priced so they "those we don't speak of" won't be living in there also

I wouldn't spend over 300k for a home in EBR. I'd rather go to Ascension.

I think he's trying to say it's a nice place to live because they keep the blacks out.

Maybe in regards to bang for the buck. Lots of new houses have been built along that road that makes Wimbledon look like a 3rd world country.

Same here. Bought a house last year there. While I don't have kids, my wife and I love it. Location is awesome and it's very quiet.

We looked into Ascension. It's got some good things going for it, but the Perkins/Highland/Siegen/Bluebonnet rectangle seems a little more appealing. Things to do are closer and seems family-friendly. Not far from LSU, shopping, dining, etc. Walking distance to Perkins Rowe or the YMCA depending on where you are.

We live in Oakridge with young kids and like it. Close to perkins Rowe and the Manship YMCA. Convenient to LSU. Really, the only downside so far for us is having to send kids to private school.

We are about to put our house on the market. Gated community next to CCL. Great location and a great price for this subdivision.
