7 is a little early but if you must...

The controller part is easy. Go to to your local hobbies store and show a pic of said rc car. Buy remote with same frequency range. Crack the blinds, pop open a beer and enjoy the show.

My daughter slept through new years at 6months without a problem...this guy is being way too dramatic about whats gonna wake the kids yp..hunger is what wakes them up at that age not outside noise.

Remotes usually have several frequency ranges so that you don't cross other users up.

However, this is possible and would be hilarious.

Good thinking.

Drive that thing right under some hoopty in the neighborhood.

In his defense though, your kid is probably a little "slow" because...well...genetics.

How do you live so close to the road or to your neighbor's driveway to where RC cars can be heard from inside your home? Do you live in an urban area? If so, wouldn't car traffic and city noise already be the norm?

Are trying to look stupid, or have you never been in a standard American neighborhood? If the former, why? If the latter, how?

I mean unless the house has paper for walls it shouldn't be that loud in his house from the street.

can't imagine those cars are any louder than a normal vehicle that can pass up and down that road any minute of the day.

They are much louder actually.

Yea your first link is one with no muffler. Of course that's going to be loud.

Watch the other videos. They are very loud, a lot louder than a weed trimmer, even with a muffler. They're closer to a really high pitched chain saw than anything.

You've given OP hell buT I guarantee if you were sitting down to relax in your living room at 7 PM and you had to listen to that running up and down the street, you'd be pissed off as hell.

LOL. No.

My battery powered truck could do 70 easily.

Agree that the OP is being unreasonable though.

Kids ride ATVs on the road around my place here in the country. An ATV is way louder than any RC car yet I don't go out and fuss at them. I did the same thing as a kid and I am not a dickhead IRL despite playing one on here. It is what it is.

Most radios now are 2.4 or even 5ghz and use coding to stop interference.

Exactly how many decibels does a remote control car produce?

Never measured, but mine is easily as loud as a weed eater.

It's been 15 years since I have driven one and I am sure battery powered ones have gotten better over time but back in the day there was no comparison.

It is crazy now. Brushless motors and lithium polymer batteries. Cars are doing over 100 now no sweat.
