It's from the books Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. A childhood classic, in which the best part was the disturbing drawings. Seriously those drawings scared the shite out of me as a kid. That one you posted is mild.

People like that are why the stand your ground law was passed in Florida. I have dealt with many unstable mental folks like that and some can be very violent.

My mom had something pretty creepy happen. She was home from Auburn one weekend at my grandparents house. They lived on a farm in Jackson Co. AL. Everyone was asleep and mom woke up to the sound of the floor creaking and someones hand sliding against the wall looking for a light switch. She yelled and the person ran out the door. My Grandfather grabbed his shotgun and started firing from the front porch into the woods. Never found the person or anything.

Creeps me out especially her waking up to the sound of someones hand sliding against the wall.

The OP is stated clearly in the subject line. "A story that gives you chills". I think the LSU grad student murders qualifies.

There's a light similar to that in Gurdon, AR. I've seen it on more than one occasion. One can google "Gurdon Light" and find images. It's definitely strange.

I'm assuming it's swamp gas or something similar.

I read somewhere that the lights perhaps have something to do with some type geological/magnetic field phenomenon. I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure they've ruled out the swamp gas theory.

I truly wish I had not listened to that damned 9/11 911 call. Usually, I refrain from exposing myself to disturbing, depressing material. Error in judgment

Yeah, I can still hear it when I think about it. I should not have listened.

I've been to the one in Crossett, AR. I don't normally believe in that type of stuff, but I saw it with my own 2 eyes. It's pretty weird.

I did that and my results were videos for "Sundown" and "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."
