we're very happy with our cheap King $1200 Casper. Had it about 90 days now.

It's the first time we've ordered online and will likely do it again.

Is it really firm? Wife and I both like a nice, soft mattress

No. It's memory foam, which is always an adjustment if you've been on a pillow top. But we like soft bedding like y'all do. We had alot of trepidation, but the price point and ease in returning it made it worth a shot. We decided to keep it before 30 days had past.

We got a Casper few months ago, love it. It is slightly firm. First night was little uncomfortable but after that I feel much better in the morning.

Buying mattress is miserable experience. Some shady mf'ers in the mattress business.

Just a suggestion, but I needed a new mattress, you are right they are expensive. I went to different stores and tried a lot of them. I finally decided on a "sleep number". I went home and looked it up online and got the king size for less than the queen in the store. I had it shipped, I got it in 5 days, and it was easy to setup. I also didn't buy their base, I went on amazon and saved almost 300.00. I don't know what you're looking to spend but check online regardless of what you go with.

i did a ton of research on sleep numbers and came to the conclusion that they are just a very expensive blowup mattress.

Try Leesa (or Casper as others have mentioned). My next bed will be one of those.

I'm sure there's tons of promos out there but I know if you enter "handbook" for Casper there's some sort of discount.

The wife (no pics) and I need to get some new furniture soon. We looked at Ashly, American Furniture Direct, and Rooms to Go. In the end, we are thinking about just ordering one from Wayfair or Hayneedle because they always come out cheaper. Both have free shipping to your door. You can try Big Lots, too.
