Needing new tires and want something reliable but also something that looks really good on a truck.

I have been looking at the Firestone Destination A/T's.

What would the OT suggest?

BFG T/A KO2's.

Buddy of mine just got some and they're surprisingly smooth and look awesome. Boner pic below

I've had the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's for the past 7 months. Really happy with them.

Stay away from firestone.
Worst tires ever made.

I actually like the BFG and Wranglers more than the FS now.

Both look better than what I wanted to go with.

Get the cooper AT3s... Prolly better tire than all of the others listed and cheaper. Got 63k out of my last set.

Duratrac's have one of the most aggressive sidewalls I've seen on a A/T, if that's what you're looking for...

Where to order the black wheels that come with the fx2 sport? Slight hijack...

I've had my BFG A/Ts since 2010 and have never had a problem with them. They ride smooth and quiet on the interstate. Had them in the mud a couple times and they did good there too.

The worst rated All Terrain tires on Consumer Reports

These are their recommendations for All Terrain tires.

1 Hankook Dynapro AT-M

2 Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar

3 Michelin LTX A/T 2

4 Cooper Discoverer A/TW

5 Falken WildPeak A/T 01

If you don't have access to Consumer Reports online, post your e-mail and I can send you a PDF of the ratings if you are interested in them.

My experience on my trucks and cars in the past are that Goodyear and Michelin tend to be consistently good performers. Hankook and Cooper are less consistent but usually the best bang for the buck. No experience with Falken.

BFG LT have had a bad reputation and the ones that came on my 01 (yes I'm old) we problematic for me and did not last well at all. I believe Ford actually went away from BFG because of customer complaints.

ETA: I run 275/70/R18 on a 2011 F150 FX4 and they look great. Not as loud on the highway as you'd think, really smooth on local roads, great traction. I also ran these on my vehicle in college, and an $900 trip to Treads and Care lasted me from February 2012 to September 2015 when I sold it, and they still had a significant amount of tread left. Great tires, great pricing

Went with the Toyo ATII's recently. 65k warranty with an aggressive appearance. Haven't taken them off-pavement, yet.

Best value tire out there period. The Cooper AT3 is what I had on my Range Rover, F150 and will be on my restored bronco. They ride good and can do minor off-roading. They are mainly road tires though and don't make a ton of road noise like the KO2s do.

Big enough diameter to keep truck nuts from dragging the ground.

Sent them your way. Good luck, buying tires is rarely a fun chore.
