I need to block someone from my phone but if they contact (call or text) me do they know they are blocked, or they think i am not answering?

How does this work? I have seriously never blocked anyone before but this person is losing their mind over stuff that has nothing to do with me. They are being a creepy stalker and it is freaking crazy. i have tried being nice but nice just don't work.

Please guys, I do need real answers but I also know i will get the usual barrage of smart arse crap which as a smart arse myself, i find funny (why else would I be here and keep coming back?)

Ya'll may know i just lost my sis, my mom and now my bro a week ago. I may cry and be sad but I come on here and you guys make me laugh my arse off so thanks for that. You have no idea how much that helps me. You guys rock

ETA: I spelled losing as "loosing" and just noticed it, lol.

Post the number you wish to block. It will work itself out.

I'm not sure how it works from their end, but the phone should have a setting that allows you to specify blocked numbers. Try blocking another phone number and calling your cell from that one.

why don't you just block a friend and have them try to call and text you to see what response your stalker would get.

Pretty sure it gives a busy signal. You should be able to call your phone company and they will do it for you.

I know my cell provider has a place on their website where I can block certain numbers. Try that.

it is just a basic phone, not like a smart phone. i am not much of a phone person so that is all I need.

As for the "it's not you, it is me". Its not a case of that but that would be a funny answer to give them but in their paranoid state they would interpret that as they are right and I am wrong and will soon be persuaded as to the error of my way.Just crazy shite seriously.

I can be a smart arse and tell them off but there is something just wrong with this person. I do not want to set them off. It's frightening. I have NEVER met them. They do not know me. From day one this person was weird but i am nice, meet lots of people in my doll/sewing groups and by day 3 I was already deciding to block this because I knew they were nuts.

i could make a police report but I hate to involve police though. i already have my hands full with dealing with all of the deaths and mamas estate and finances and arrangements.

Who cares if they know.... If you want to block them.. Do you really care if they know?

I wouldn't worry

I doubt they have the balls to come out to 'the compound' anyway.

I was curious because I did not know if they sent hateful texts if they would think i was getting them and not answering or if they would get a message saying they are not allowed to access my number.

I would like them to know they are blocked without me having to tell them so. I have blocked them on FB and have hidden my profile even more.

If you block someone from an Android it just sends them straight to your VM when they call. But you do get a little vibe or ding letting you know that they were sent to VM.

When they call it just rings one quick time on their end and then they go straight to VM.

I don't know how to do it on a non smart phone. You might have to contact you service provider.

Well i know that but i just don't care to have to help my husband hide a body or to bail him out of jail.

seriously, I stared calling the place the compound after Nurse called it that. It cracks me up. Its really just a farm in a rural area.

Points to you for making a "compound" reference and making me laugh. Upvote!!!

On a smartphone, you can do it through your calling and texting apps. On a dumb phone, you've got to call your provider
