#1 best seller power drill on amazon. I'm going to go with yes.

your wife told me she wanted a power drill

That one is good. We use them at work and they hold up pretty well. Heavy use and drilling through aerospace aluminum all day everyday, one will last about 9 months.

Mostly for light work around the house.
Is this Dewalt the one to get?
That's the one I use around the house.
Good drill.

Cant go wrong there. I got the 20v combo drill and driver. I have to say I like the drill but I find the driver more useful. Even light drilling.

My dewalt hadn't been charged in about two years and still has enough testicular fortitude to help me make two signs for my son's birthday party last weekend
There are other good power tools out there, but until dewalt does me wrong, I'll remain loyal

It's what I have and I love it.

I like Makita for cordless tools. Dewalt batteries don't have a very long life and are expensive

Good to go with that. The 20v stuff is cock strong.

Impact driver will do better for things like tightening bolts or putting together furniture/screws.
They still work for drilling, but obviously it would be purchasing another tool.

I have a bunch of dewalt power tools. I love their stuff.

Check out ridgid at home depot. Lifetime warranty on the battery. The battery is usually what fails on power tools.

I am a serious DIYer and I like the Ridgid drill driver combo. For a serious DIYer I think the lifetime warranty and overall quality can't be beat.
If you are a light user then just get a Ryobi. You can get it from Direct Tools down in Gonzales for cheap.

How does this work?
Always wondered how cashing in on warranty went. Assumed it was like the "lifetime" warranties on car batteries. Where they are warrantied for the life of the battery, assumed 3 years.

For $70 more I'd get the cobo with the impact driver.
That's a good deal.
Store/charge the battery inside for longer life expectancy
