I'm doing a kitchen remodel and I have some plumbing work that is above my head. I'm needing a professional to take a look. Anyone recommend a good plumber?

Can't help you there, but I just did a kitchen remodel in Ohio. Basic plumbing work is pretty easy, but if you have to tear up walls then definitely hire a plumber. There's really nothing to cutting old plumbing lines under your sink and replacing them with new lines (no idea if that's what you are doing though).

Maybe a hijack. Maybe not. May help OP.
"Whole House Re-Pipe". These businesses are hammering Houston with ads. Costs? Limitations of service and product? Is it just bullshite?

What exactly are you needing done? I surprised myself with some repair work after talking to a guy at home depot. It wasn't as bad as it seemed. PEX water lines are ridiculously easy to work with. You have the upfront cost of a few specialized tools, but after that it is very cheap to replace lines with. Shark bite connections if you are going from copper to PEX. PVC drain work is pretty easy too. You just need a saw and some of the cement to make solid connections.
